Nothing much to say. Samuel asked for strawberries on pasta tonight for dinner. Needless to say, I was making chicken noodle soup which he enjoyed eating anyway. Too bad the strawberries are out of season.
Took Mikey on a Mommy-Mikey date to Aldi tonight. "We's po' seminary students" as my friend Kelly says. Date night at Aldi is livin' high on the hog. (Wonder where that phrase originated...) Or as my friend Mer says, "A spending binge for [seminary students or folks trying to make ends meet and feed their kids] is when you buy the extra large bag of tater tots at Aldi!"

Wish spell check would stop telling me Aldi is misspelled. I know it's not.
Aldi, Aldi, Aldi.
Aldi, the stock-up store.
p.s. Thanks, Wiki! That totally makes sense. (Etymology of "high on the hog":An allusion to the best and costliest cuts of meat from a hog, considered to be parts above the belly such as the loin.)
